"...went to buxton speedway academy last saturday from bristol with my eleven year old and felt welcome, at home and above all safe in the knowledge that my boys first ride was in good hands. my lad was nervous as hell but after 2 rides coaching he wanted nothing more than to ride his bike .Ronnie was brilliant with my boy who through no fault of his own suffers from severe dyslexia which in his case means he finds it hard to remember, even after just being told. A big thanks to all at speedway academy... "

"...Its not very often I get the chance to go on the internet but I want to say a very big thank you to everyone at Buxton Speedway and the Speedway Academy for a fantastic day on Saturday. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. My daughter had not ridden her bike for over a year but Ronnie soon put her at ease and at the end of the day he got her doing a little skid out of the bends. He also gave us advice on cheap but safe ways of adjusting the bike to make it more comfortable for her.
My son also rode and although he has been riding some time, he has no tuition since Sheffield closed to help him improve. Ronnie gave him lots of advice and got him riding different lines on the track. This really pushed him and made him think more about his riding. Although he found it difficult he has come away on a high and hasn't shut up since! I would also like to say a very big thank you to Clive who helped us with both bike problems and also to the guy (sorry didn't get your name) who not only loaned us a throttle for the day, but he waited so Cameron could have his last rides.
It was great to see the new guy from Bristol having is first ride. He looked terrified on his first ride but at the end of the day he looked like he had been riding for years.
It was also great to see Ronnie enjoying the day too, he must be very proud of helping these youngsters, seems to be doing it for the right reasons and not trying to make a quick buck out of his name.
The big question is When is the next Ronnie Training school? ..."

Thanks to dave for all his help and to ronnie for helping me out on the track and in the pits. EVERYONE there was friendly and i walked away with more knowledge than what i had before about the bike and how to ride it. I myself had a few tumbles and spills but got up and went straight out again the weather was really cold so warming the bike up again needed to be done =] by the end of the day the rain had totaly slicked the track up and it was lyk riding ice but it made for a comfortable landing when coming off now the hard part of cleaning the bike that should be fun.
Thanks again

Have to agree. Although wasn't riding, purely helping out, it was fantastic to see all the lads giving it their all and listening to Ronnie in horrible conditions. Everybody had a smile on their face and it was a great success. My faith in the sport was restored a little yesterday. After the last few months of trying to arrange training school and other events and having problems with red tape and others deciding to jump on the training school band wagon, it was fantastic to see yesterday come together!
Well Done Mike and Dave!
When is the next one????
