We aim to help riders all over Great Britain to make that next step up, whether helping riders improve thier skills in one of our academy's, sponsoring a rider through our shop or simply by offering riders a cheaper alternative than our competition.
Speedway-academy is owned by the very capable hands of Mikey Osborne.
Aswell as running speedway-academy.co.uk, Mikey has rode speedway over the last few years, improving steadily and has come on alot towards the end of 2009. He is now looking forward to riding in 2010 and improving more while running the new Speedway Consumables Online Shop.
Our latest academy events have been organised by Michael and his colleague Stuart Bentley.
Stuart has also rode Speedway and also spannered for Michael in the pits for the last few years.
The Idea behind the training academy
The idea for Speedway-Academy came along a few years back when we realised the Scandinavians were taking over the world of Speedway. It’s not necessarily because Britain hasn't got the talent, because we have, their just lacking the coaching and support that Scandinavian youth gets.
What we've done so far
Since the start of 2008 we have organised several academy training days, with top tuition.
After a couple failed projects we now know what young riders want and need, and we now feel we have helped several riders’ progress.
We have now run practice sessions and also four academy days, three under Ronnie Correy's tuition, and one so far under Joe Screen, which we're all very successful.
We pride ourselves in putting a lot of hard work into our events, and we are constantly thinking of new ideas, so keep a watchful eye over us in 2010.
